• Tradition in motion – since 1996

For more than two decades, we have stood for expertise, precision and a spirit of partnership.

Headquarters of Stahlberg GmbH in Langenfeld – specialist in special screws, turned parts, fastening solutions and precise incoming goods inspection.

Our History

From the first screws to holistic project execution

It all started in 1996 – with two doers, a clear vision and a healthy dose of drive. Over the years, a trading business for special screws grew into a company that today supports complete projects in special machine construction – professionally, in a structured way and with an eye for the big picture. We take responsibility seriously, yet remain down to earth. After all, anyone who wants to work reliably over the long term needs not only precision but also the ability to see things with a clear head and a certain degree of composure.

  • 1996

    Founded with foresight

By founding Stahlberg GmbH, Rainer Stahlberg and Oswald Metzen laid the foundation for a company that focused on quality, reliability and technical expertise from the very beginning. Both remain closely associated with the company as shareholders to this day.

  • 1998

    A home of our own

With the move into the new office and warehouse building on Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Straße, the infrastructure grows – and with it the ability to coordinate larger projects independently.

  • 2000

    Growth through structure

With the introduction of the just-in-time logistics concept and a framework agreement with Siemens Energy Mülheim, Stahlberg develops efficient supply models for C-parts at an early stage.
A new inventory management system creates transparency, and with more than 20 employees the company grows into a new dimension.

  • 2002

    Stepping out into the world

The first deliveries to the USA (Charlotte, NC) and Asia mark the beginning of international partnerships.

  • 2004–2005

    Our own halls, new standards

The construction of our own office and warehouse building “Am Galgendriesch 3” in Langenfeld secures long-term flexibility. At the same time, the quality department is expanded – with modern material analysis and clear inspection processes.

  • 2006–2009

    Investing in precision

An expanded raw material concept and new FARO measuring arms increase efficiency and accuracy in production inspection. A second warehouse hall complements the growing infrastructure.

  • 2012

    More capacity, more possibilities

With the expansion of the transport fleet, the logistics service becomes even more professional.

  • 2015

    More capacity, more possibilities

    A generational change with continuity

  • 2016–2018

    Placeholder: Expansion of digitalization

Modernization of internal processes, introduction of new IT systems for complete documentation and inspection planning.

  • 2019–2020

Placeholder: Expansion of the partner network

Establishment of additional strategic manufacturing partners in order to remain flexible even in complex projects with deep bills of materials.

  • 2021–2023

    Placeholder: Sustainability and energy initiative

Investments in energy-efficient building technology and resource-saving warehouse and transport processes.

  • 2024–today
